Death
NEW LONDON — Mrs. Margie Furr Castevens, 66, died Sunday at Stanly County Hospital. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 11 am at Stanly Funeral Home Chapel, Albemarle, conducted by the Rev. Harold McDonald and the Rev. Justin Hill. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Park, Albemarle. The family will be at the home of a sister, Mrs. Estelle Carpenter, 1622 W. Park Ave, Albemarle, and at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Born July 12, 1909, in Stanly County, Mrs. Castevens was a daughter of the late William Franklin and Florence Burleson Furr. Her husband, Robert Mack Castevens, died in July, 1975. Other survivors include two other sisters, Mrs. Mary Broadway of Albemarle and Mrs. Mildred Carmichael of Charlotte, and a brother, James F. Furr of Modesta, Calif.Endnotes
