Death
CHESTER, Feb. 13 — ( Special) — Lester James Furr, 61, died at the Chester County Hospital last night following declining health of 10 years. Mrs. (sic) Furr was a native of Lancaster, a son of the late John and Dolly Starnes Furr. He was a textile worker until his health failed. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Pear] Allen Furr; two daughters, Miss Dolly Cornelia Furr of the home and Miss Ruby Furr of Monroe, N. C.; two brothers, Wherry C. Furr and Robert L. Furr, both of Chester, and one sister, Mrs. Leila Epps of Rockwell, N.C. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon from the New Hope Methodist Church by the Rev. Conrad S. Cato, pastor of Liberty Baptist Church, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Brown of the New Hope Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.The State, Columbia, South Carolina, February 14, 1955
