KANNAPOLIS - Ruby Furr Bernard, 78, of 718 Margate Ave., Kannapolis, died Sunday, Aug. 13, 2000, at her home. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wilkinson funeral Home. The Rev. James Murray will officiate. Burial will be at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Wilkinson Funeral Home from 6 until 8 p.m. tonight. At other times they will be at the home. Born Aug. 3, 1922, in Cabarrus County, she was a daughter of the late Lester James and Iva Brines Furr. She was a member of Rocky River Presbyterian Church and was retired from 7-11 convenience stores. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Joan B. Shuster and husband Rick of Kannapolis; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Rocky River Presbyterian Church, 7940 Rocky River Road, Concord, NC 28025.Endnotes
