Death
CHESTER — Wherry C. (Jack) Furr, 62, died Friday afternoon at a veterans hospital in Columbia after four years of illness. He was a native of Concord, N.C., a son of the late John C. and Dolly Starnes Furr. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church and the American Legion. He was a veteran of World War I. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Margaret Hudson Furr; a brother, Robert Furr of Rock Hill; and a sister, Miss Lela Furr of Chester. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3 p.m. at Westside Baptist Church by Rev. V. H. Elliott. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery with military rites. Wright's Home for Funerals is in charge.Military
