Death
CHESTER — Mrs. Etta Ewing Furr, 56, wife of Wherry C. Furr of Chester, died Tuesday in a Columbia hospital after an extended illness. Mrs. Furr was born in Chester County, a daughter of the late Jim Ewing and Isabell Barnes Ewing. Surviving besides her husband are a son, J. T. Paul of Cleveland, Ohio; two brothers, Wylie Ewing of Chester and Harvey Ewing of Anderson, S. C. Funeral was to be at 4:30 p.m today at the Chapel at Wright's Home for Funerals in Chester, with the Rev. Claude O. Moser in charge. Burial was to be in Chester.The Herald, Rock Hill, South Carolina, June 5, 1958
