Mr. Joseph Carroll Furr, 54, textile retiree, died Dec. 30, 1994, at Stanly Manor Nursing Home. Funeral is 2 p.m. Sunday at Hartsell Funeral Home. Visitation is 6 to 8 tonight.Survivors are his daughters, Ms. Evette Furr, Ms. Crystal Furr, both of South Carolina; mother, Mrs. Pauline Furr; brothers, Pete Furr of Charlotte, Roger Furr of Mount Pleasant, N.C., Larry Shepherd, Darrell Furr; sister, Mrs. Maxine Sexton.

ALBEMARLE — Joseph Carroll Furr, 54, of 625 Bethany Road, formerly of Salisbury, died Friday (Dec. 30, 1994) at Stanly Manor Nursing Home. Born Aug 27, 1940, in Stanly County, he was a son of Pauline D. Furr of Albemarle and the late Daniel Monroe Furr. He was last employed with Cope Mills in Salisbury. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include daughters Evette Furr and Crystal Furr, both of South Carolina; brothers Larry ‘‘Jim" Shepherd, Albemarle, Pete Furr, Charlotte, Roger Furr, Mount Pleasant, and Darrell Furr, Albemarle; sister Maxine F. Sexton, Albemarle; and two grandchildren. Services: 2 p.m. Sunday, Lefler Memorial Chapel of Hartsell Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Larry McEntire and the Rev. George Bradshaw. Burial in Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church cemetery. Visitation: 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
