Death
Betty Tucker, 71, of Charlotte died Saturday, October 29, 2011. She was born in Stanly County, NC. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Lee Tucker, and her adoptive parents, Robert Lee and Flora Page. She was a member of Long Creek Eastern Star Chapter 151 and a retired secretary with Roy's Industrial Service. She is survived by two sons, Robert (Buster) Furr and wife Sandi of Charlotte, and Randy Lee Tucker and wife Kim of Charlotte; and one grandson, Charles (Boo) Helms of Gastonia. A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Tucker, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, 617 Bethel Church Road, Locust, NC with Reverend Joe Moore officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly, NC.
