Individual Details
Solomon Israel FURR
(25 Dec 1886 - 30 Jan 1948)
S. I. Furr was a motorman for the Charlotte trolley which was run by Duke Power Company. He drove the streetcar until that service was discontinued. I believe that he drove a city bus after the trolley was dismantled. Today, his son, Joseph S. Furr has been instrumental in the restoration of the Trolley in Charlotte.
