Death
Mrs. Sarah Furr of Carmel road died yesterday morning at her home after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 3 o’clock at Meadow Creek Primitive Baptist church, and Rev. C. M. Mills, the pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Furr, widow of Wilson C. Furr, was born March 9, 1858, in Stanly county. She is survived by two daughters, Miss Maye Furr of the home and Mrs. R. E. Polk of Charlotte; two sons, S. I. Furr of Charlotte and A. L. Furr of Houston, Texas; 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Mrs. E. E. Huneycutt of Cabarrus county. Serving as pallbearers will be R.L. Beaver, L. H. Tuten, W. M. Hamilton, H. D. Broadway, Walter Howell, and Marshall Howell.The Charlotte Observer, Charlotte, North Carolina, April 10, 194
