NEW FURNITURE STORE TO OPEN
P. F. Furr and Two Sons of Ocala Move Here and Enter Trade
A retail furniture store will open Friday in the Groom building on South Adams street, under the proprietorship of P. F. Furr and his two sons, Howard and Clayton Furr, recently of Ocala. The elder Mr. Furr stated this morning that some delay had been experienced in getting a full line of all new merchandise ordered, as well as arrangement of the interior of the building, but that he was almost certain to be ready to formally announce his opening on Friday morning. The family has secured a home in College Park, on West St. Augustine street, and have made themselves an active part of the business and civic life of Tallahassee. Prior to removing to Tallahassee both the father and his sons were connected with the Eagle Furniture Company at Ocala, and all are experienced furniture men. Their local plans call for a modern retail furniture store, handling a high grade line of home furnishings, pronographs, records, also handling a small amount of used furniture. The new enterprise is believed to be well located and it is expected will enjoy a successful opening and continued run towards permanency.
