Death
CONCORD, Nov. 3. — W. M. Tice Furr, 88, died at 6:30 p. m. today at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Carl D. Blackwelder, in the Roberta community of Cabarrus county. He had been ill for eight months. His death was caused by a heart attack. He was a retired farmer and textile worker and had lived in the Roberta section for 40 years. Funeral services will be held Sunday morning at 11 o'clock at Roberta Methodist church with Elder C. M. Mills of the Primitive Baptist church and Rev. J. C. Combs, pastor of Roberta church, officiating. Mrs. Furr was the son of the late Al and Mrs. Eva Furr. His wife, Mrs. Frances Little Furr, is dead. He is survived by his daughter, a son, D. B. Furr and a brother, Hope Furr, the latter of Stanly county. Mr. Furr was a member of Meadow Creek Primitive Baptist church.The Charlotte Observer Charlotte, North Carolina, November 4, 1944
