Death
ASHEBORO — Lonnie Angus Furr, 74, of 709 Dixon Ave. died Friday at Randolph Hospital. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. He was a native of Hoke County and a retired employee of the City of Asheboro. Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Ruby Campbell, Mrs. Barbara Huggins and Mrs. Dorothy Lock of Asheboro, Miss Mary Jane Furr of the home; sons, Lonnie Furr Jr. of Randleman, Hank Furr, Arthur Furr and David Furr of Asheboro; sisters, Mrs. Bert Priest and Mrs. Lottie Stewart of Vance; 18 grandchildren. The family will be at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. today.News and Record, Greensboro, North Carolina, October 11, 1987
