Mrs. Mary Patterson Furr, 82, died last Thursday afternoon at her home in the Sweetheart Lake section, near Lakeview. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Vass Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. T.J. Whitehead, with burial following in Johnsons Grove cemetery at Vass. Mrs. Furr was a native of Moore county and had lived in this section all her life. Surviving are four daughters, Miss Rosa Furr, of the home; Mrs. Bertha Priest, Vass, and Mrs. Janie Medlin and Mrs Lottie Stewart, Cameron; and seven sons, Walter L. and Joseph Furr, of Vass; James Furr, Sanford; William Furr, Carthage; Johnny W. Furr, Rockingham; Lonnie Furr, Pinehurst, and Henry F. Furr, of the home.Endnotes
