Death
ROBBINS — William David Furr, 62, of Carthage, Rt. 1, died Tuesday morning. Graveside services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Johnson Grove Cemetery near Vass, conducted by the Rev. Fred Reece. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Pearlie Cock Furr; one daughter, Mrs. Bessie Furr Strider of the home; two grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Charles Stewart, Mrs. Jane Medlin, Miss Rosie Furr, all of Cameron and Mrs. Bertha Priest of Vass; five brothers, Henry Furr of Cameron, Joe Furr of Vass, Lonnie Andus Furr and Jim Furr, both of Asheboro and Johnny Furr of Rockingham.The News and Observer, Raleigh, North Carolina, April 4, 1962
