Death
ALBEMARLE — Mrs Bertha Novella Hathcock Furr, 82, of 1132 Efird St, died unexpectedly Thursday at Stanly Memorial Hospital. The funeral will be 2 p m Saturday at Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Church, conducted by Elders Charles Smith and Rom Kerley Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will remain at Stanly Funeral Home until taken to the church 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 pm. Born Nov 24, 1899, in Stanly County, she was the daughter of the late Julius Wilbourn and Betty White Hathcock. She attended Libert Hill PB Church. Survivors include her husband, A S Furr, two daughters, Mrs Faye Sherrill of Salisbury and Mrs Betty Peck of Albemarle, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.Endnotes
