Death
ALBEMARLE — Clyde C. Furr, 61, of 1725 Sunset Avenue died Saturday at 6.15 p.m. at Stanly Memorial Hospital. He had been in declining health for some time, but was seriously ill for only one day. The son of Beachum B. and Maggie House Furr, he was born Sept. 22, 1900, in Stanly County. His mother died one week before her son on Saturday, December 2. Survivors include his father; his wife, Lenna V. Frick Furr; four, brothers, George Furr of Concord, John A. Furr of High Point, Walter L. Furr and Albert A. Furr of Albemarle. Funeral services will be conducted today at 2 o'clock at Tabernacle Methodist Church of which he was a member. The Rev. Joe Morris, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Albemarle. Mr. Furr was an insurance agent for Home Security Insurance Company for a number of years.The Salisbury Post, Salisbury, North Carolina, December 11, 1961
