Death
ALBEMARLE — Mr. Roy Lee Furr, age 79, of 29658 Lakeside Drive, died Monday, December 6, 1999 at Stanly Memorial Hospital. He was born in Stanly County, NC on November 22, 1920 son of the late Albert and Sarah Eudy Furr. A veteran of the US Navy having served during WW II in the Pacific Theatre. He was a finisher having worked for with Collins & Alkman. Funeral services for Mr. Furr will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 8, at Salem United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mark Denton officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Furr is survived by his wife, Lucille Myrtle Hall Furr; son, Dillon Furr; stepson, Tyrone Hall, brothers, Clayton Furr and Johnny Furr all of Albemarle; two grandchildren. The family will be at the home of 29659 Lakeside Dr., Albemarle, NC. Hartsell Funeral Home is serving the family of Mr. Furr.The Charlotte Observer, Charlotte, North Carolina, December 7, 1999
