Death

HOLLANDALE — Dewey H. Furr, 96, retired farmer, died Tuesday at King's Daughters Hospital in Greenville. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Hollandale Baptist Church, where he was a member, with burial in Hollandale City Cemetery. Mortimer Funeral Home of Greenville has charge. He was a Mason, past master of Thomas Gaddis Lodge 379 of Hollandale, a Yorkrite and a Shriner. Mr. Furr, the husband of Mellye Pierce Furr, also leaves two daughters, Earlene Clark of Hollandale and Etta 'Tincie' Westbrook of Mobile, Ala.; a son, Dewey 'Buck' Furr of Hollandale; a brother, Hugh G. Furr of Arcola, 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
