Death
ALBEMARLE — John Henry Furr, 75, of Route 3, died Tuesday in Cabarrus Memorial Hospital in Concord. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church, conducted by Elder C.S. Mills and Elder Ted Morton. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle tonight from 7 to 9. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Born Sept 9, 1909, in Stanly County, he was a son of the late Paul Deberry and Mattie Page Furr. He was retired from Cannon Mills Co. in Concord. Survivors include his wife, Bertha Eudy Furr; a son, Kenneth H. Furr of Albemarle, a daughter, Mrs. Hal Harwood of Route 3, Albemarle, a brother, Arthur J. Furr of Route 6, Albemarle; three sisters, Bertha Speights, Route 4, Albemarle, Dora Beil Helms of Concord, and Bessie Almond of Route 1, Stanfield; and four grandchildren.Endnotes
