CHERAW, July 17 — (Special) — Eddie Carl Furr, employee of Cheraw Cotton Mills, died Thursday at a Bennettsville Hospital after a short illness. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 o’clock Saturday afternoon from West Side Baptist Church by the Rev. Charlie Riley, the Rev. E. L. Crow of Cheraw and the Rev. Horace Kenny of Rockingham. Burial will be in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens. He was born in Anson County, N. C., the son of the late Wiley and Vienie Whitley Furr. For a number of years he has lived in Cheraw. Survivors include his wife, the former Miss Lula Howard; four daughters, Mrs. Willie Mae Kelley, Mrs. Myrtle Johnson, Mrs. Annie L. Butler and Mrs. Ethel Ann Rainwater, all of Cheraw; and one son, T.
