Death

CHERAW — Services for Annie B. Furr Melton, 69, will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, April 14 at Kiser Funeral Home of Cheraw with burial in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight at Kiser Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Cheraw Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 28, Cheraw, 29520. Mrs. Melton died Friday, April 12, 1996, at her home. Born in Cheraw, she was a daughter of the late Eddie and Lula Howard Furr. She retired as owner of ‘‘Your Beauty Shop”. Surviving are her husband, Richard Melton of Cheraw; son, Tony C, Butler of Cheraw; daughter, Jo Ann Butler of Brooklyn, N.Y.; sister, Willie Mae Kelly of Cheraw, Myrtle Johnson of Cheraw, Ethel Rainwater of Laurinburg, N.C.; six grand children; two great-grandchildren.
