Death
CHERAW - Willie Mae Furr Kelly, age 91, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2009, at the Lowman Home in White Rock, SC. Born in Cheraw, SC, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Lula Howard Furr and the wife of the late Leo J. Kelly. She was a retired employee of Cheraw Yarn Mills, a member of the First United Methodist Church of Cheraw and the Kinsey Mulloy Bible Class. Mrs. Kelly is survived by two sons, James Edward Kelly, Sr. and his wife, Lorena, of Gilbert, SC, Ray M. Kelly and his wife, Debbie, of Chapin, SC; a sister, Ethel Ann Rainwater of Florence, SC; a grandson, James E. Kelly, Jr. of Gilbert, SC; two granddaughters, Mary Jane Upson of Cremora, VA, and Ashli Kelly of Atlanta, GA; two great-granddaughters, Hannah Jane Upson and Samantha Grace Upson, both of Cremora, VA; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held by the graveside Saturday, February 14, 2009, at noon in Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Norton Funeral Home. The pallbearers will be Mickey Workman, Jackie Furr, James E. Kelly, Jr., Allen Kelly, Chip Ingram and Jim Rainwater. Memorials may be made to the Kinsey Mulloy Bible Class, First United Methodist Church, 117 Third Street, Cheraw, SC 29520. The family would like to thank the staff of The Lowman Home for their loving care for the last seven years. Norton Funeral Home of Cheraw is serving the family of Mrs. Kelly.
