Individual Details

George W. BUSH

(1851 - 8 May 1937)

Québec records use the original family name, BOUCHER. LDS individual ordinance work done under this surname -- and he is listed under Québec, not New York.

Listed among survivors in obituary of his stepmother, Olivina Boucher, as George Bush of Kalipspell, Mont. (Menominee Co. Journal, 4 Apr 1908).

On the day he was married, George's mill burned down at a loss of $15,000. The fire supposedly started in the packing house where the watchman was getting up steam for the day's work. (Menominee Herald -- quoted in "Menominee County Book for Schools," ed. Ethel Schuyler, Menominee: Office of County School Commissioner, 1941.) The mill had been located in Daggett.

Occupations -- In 1880: Real estate dealer. Mid 1880's to mid 1890's : Merchant (cedar dealer) in Daggett. Cedar dealer and real estate dealer in Montana.
