Individual Details
Joseph Edmond RABOIN
(22 Sep 1877 - 11 Jan 1946)
The Menominee County Journal reported that a grand wedding dance was given in honor of this couple, which was well attended. Joseph's grandparents, Frederic and Domithilde (Guilmette) Raboin probably attended, since they were visiting their sons in Daggett at the time.
Joseph was stricken with typhoid fever in late 1895 (the year he was married), and was critically ill, with several relapses. He was given little chance of survival, but apparently pulled through. (MCJ -- 2 NOV and 9 NOV 1895)
1905 Wisconsin State Census shows this family in Amberg Town, Marinette County (Sheet #17). Joseph's occupation at the time was papermill worker.
1920 Federal Census shows them living in Cherry Valley Precinct, King County, Washington (Sup. Dist. 1, Enum. Dist. 24, sheet no. 4A, dated 16 Jan 1920). Joseph's father, Frederick Raboin, was also living with them. Joseph is listed as a laborer in the lumber camp, and son Henry as a sailor in the navy.
