Individual Details
Mary Edith RABOIN
(14 Apr 1879 - 19 Apr 1902)
-- Philip Raboin and Mrs. Ed Perrizo returned from Delavan, Minnesota Friday evening, having been called here on account of the serious illness of their sister, Mrs. Mary Martin.
-- Mrs. Mary Martin, wife of Harry Martin, died at the home of her parents here Saturday morning, April 19, at 2:15 o'clock. She had been a sufferer from asthma since she was eight years of age, and a complication of this disease and of pneumonia was the cause of her death. She was born in Marinette on April 16, 1876 (sic), and consequently was three days over twenty-three years of age. She had resided with her parents here until her marriage in 1897 to Harry Martin, and is survived by her husband, two children, aged two years and eight months respectively, parents, three brothers and five sisters, who have the heartfelt sympathy of the community in their affliction. Mrs. Martin was a kind and loving wife and mother, a dutiful daughter, a devoted sister, and a true friend to all in distress or trouble, and will be greatly missed in the circle in which she moved.
Her funeral took place Monday morning from the R.C. Church, Stephenson, Rev. Fr. Barth officiating, and a large concourse of people followed the remains to their last resting place.

Notes
Birth
Baptized at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Marinette, as "Maria Editha." Date of ceremony was cut off of the copy the priest sent me, but birthdate was given. Godparents were Edward Bush and Edith Parrisseau.Marriage
Did Harry and Mary elope? I don't know why they would marry in Peshtigo. Also, although the ceremony was a religious one, it was officiated by Rev. Edwin Andrews, and the witnesses were Mrs. M.E. Andrews and Ethel D. Andrews. All in the family!Census (family)
Enumerated with this family were Harry Martin, a farm laborer, age 27 (born Aug 1873); his wife, Mary Martin, age 21 (born April 1879); and daughter Genevieve Martin, age 6 months (born Dec 1899).http://interactive.ancestry.com/7602/004120243_00818?backurl=http%3a%2f%2fsearch.ancestry.com%2fsearch%2fdb.aspx%3fdbid%3d7602%26path%3d&ssrc=&backlabel=ReturnBrowsing#?imageId=004120243_00822
