Harry Kirkpatrick was born 20 November 1871, near Brunswick, Chariton County, Missouri. He died 3 November 1949 in Itasca, DuPage County, Illinois. He married 20 April 1899, Indian Cove, Chariton County, Missouri, to Lillie May Crossland. She died 6 December 1942

Harry attended from Marion Simms Medical School (now Washington University, St. Louis). He graduated probably about 1903, and began practicing medicine in Dalton, Missouri. He later became Professor of Mathematics at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. He was the author of several textbooks.

There were two (2) children born of the marriage.
