Homer Davis Kirkpatrick was born 9 October 1886 in Brunswick, Chariton Co., Missouri. He moved with his family from Missouri to Southern California.
Homer attended and graduated from the University of Southern California, School of Dentistry in 1912. He practiced dentistry in Long Beach, California. On 3 March 1911, Homer married Margaret Johnson, who was born 7 August 1896 in Illinois. There were no children of the marriage. Margaret died 18 September 1962 at Long Beach, Los Angeles County, California.
Homer died 7 July 1949 at Long Beach, Los Angeles County, California.
