Strong, age 87, died on Wednesday, October 30, 1974, at a Stoughton hospital after a short illness. Born in Edmund, Wisconsin on May 16, 1887, she was the daughter of Kathryn and Frank Kirkpatrick. Mrs. Strong was a lifelong resident of Iowa County. She was married to Harry C. Strong on Nov. 21, 1912, in Dodgeville and lived there until moving to Stoughton in 1965. She was a member of the Nelson-Dewey DAR, the Dodgeville Women's Club, and the United Methodist Church in Dodgeville. Survivors include a son, J. Kirk Strong, Stoughton; two daughters, Mrs. I. C. Collins, Stoughton, and Mrs. Carol Feally [Felly], Madison; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the McGinley Funeral Home, Dodgeville, at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1. The Rev. Billy Bross, of the United Methodist Church, Dodgeville officiating. Burial in East Side Cemetery, Dodgeville. Friends may call after 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31, at the McGinley Funeral Home, Dodgeville.
