Stoughton - Mary C. Collins, age 84, passed away on Friday, Aug. 27, 2004, at Nazareth House in Stoughton. Mary was born on April 15, 1920, in Dodgeville, the daughter of Harry and Kathryn "Kitty" (Kirkpatrick) Strong. She married Irving Collins on April 15, 1942, at her grandmother's home in Dodgeville. Mary enjoyed her family, traveling, antique collecting, bridge and cooking for her family. In her earlier years, Mary also enjoyed playing golf at the Stoughton Country Club. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Irving Collins; her daughter, Catherine (Richard) Durnford of Dodgeville; grandchildren, Amy Crubaugh (Jason Schrank) of Blue Mounds, and Michelle (Ryan) Rewey of Janesville; and a great-grandchild, Tyler Crubaugh. She is further survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Beth Strong of Stoughton; special friends, Gary and Nancy Holloway; and many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her twin sister, Kay Felly; her brother, Kirk Strong; and her brother-in-law, Carl Felly. A memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004, at 11 a.m. at the Nazareth House Chapel, 814 Jackson St. Monsignor Gerard Healy will preside. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Private burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery.
