Saturday, Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein, were friends may call from 4 to 8 P.M. Friday and one hour before services Saturday. Burial: Woodlawn Cemetery. Survivors include a son John Michaels, Sr. of Phoenix; five grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; a sister, Mardell Loux of Oelwein; and a brother and sister-in-law James and Kaye Frazer of Oelwein.
From her memory card: Evelyn L. Frazer was born February 24, 1914 at Oelwein, Iowa, the daughter of Robert L. & Laura C. (Weatherbee) Frazer, Sr. She married Edward John Michaels on February 8, 1943 in Savannah, Missouri. He died January 17, 1962. Evelyn was a longtime Oelwein resident. She worked as a supervisor in the egg canning department at Wilsons Foods in Oelwein and later worked at Mercy Hospital in Oelwein for 22 years and retired as Supervisor of Housekeeping. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Oelwein, and had been a resident of Mercy Living Plus for the last 10 years. Survivors include Son and Daughter-In-Law: John & Jane Michaels, Sr., of Phoenix Arizona; 5 Grandchildren (Melissa (Ed) Pahl, Edward J. Michaels, Andrw R. Michaels, John E. Michaels, Jr., Laura E. Michaels all of Phoenix, Arizona); 1 Great-Granddaughter: Bailey Michaels of Phoenix, Arizona; Sister: Mardell Loux of Oelwein; Brother & Sister-In-Law: James and Kaye Frazer of Oelwein; Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers (Jack Frazer, Dell Frazer and Robert Frazer, Jr. )
