Ada Orena Peers Noyes was born in Manchester, Delaware County, Iowa on June 22, 1868. She died February 24, 1946 at the age of 78 years, 8 months and 2 days. She was married to Frank D. Noyes on June 22nd 1887 and to this union were eleven children, all of which are living today. They are: Bertha Alice Candler, Dubuque, Iowa; Roy Edgar Noyes, of Santa Cruz, California; Harry Arthur Noyes, of St. Louis; Clarence Albert Noyes, of Jefferson City; Floyd Curtis Noyes, of Dubuque, Iowa; Hazel Effie Noyes, of Arcadia; Florence Edith Noyes, of Dubuque, Iowa; Ernest Glenn Noyes, of Greeley, Iowa; Chas. Jesse Noyes, Jefferson City; Ray Francis Noyes, of Arcadia. There are 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Noyes lived most of their lives in Manchester, Iowa and for forty years in one house. They came to Ironton seven years ago and purchased a home in Arcadia almost a year ago. Had Mrs. Noyes lived until next June, they would have been married 59 years. Mr. Noyes is 80 years old. She belonged to the Methodist church most of her life. Funeral services were held at the White and Sons Chapel Wednesday afternoon with Rev. Velvick in charge. She was laid to rest in the Arcadia Valley Memorial Cemetery.
