On the U. S. Census of 1900 for Manchester City, Delaware Co., Iowa Alminda appears in the household of her son-in-law Frank Noyes, daughter Ada and daughter Ida Hosier.
Richard Dale Hosier states in his research: Manchester Press, Manchester, Iowa, 16 January 1913: Almina E. Hosier, widow of Curtis C. Peers, born in Harmony, New York, 5 April 1826, no surviving brothers or sisters was buried in Manchester, Iowa.
Manchester Democrat, Manchester, Iowa, January 15, 1913: Mrs. Alminda Peers. Mrs. Alminda Peers died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ada Noyes, in the northeast part of the city, on Tuesday evening January 7, 1913, after a lingering illness. Mrs. Peers was eighty-six years of age and was born in Harmony, New York. She was united in marriage with Curtis C. Peers on January 21, 1849, in Pomfret, Chautauqua county, New York. They came west in 1854 and located at Manchester. Mr. Peers death occurred in 1897. Mrs. Peers was the last of the charter members of the Methodist Episcopal church of this city. She is survived by two daughters, Ida A. Peers and Mrs. Ada O. Noyes of this city. The funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon from the Methodist Episcopal church, Rev. Hudson officiating. Interment was made in Oakland cemetery.
