Cormac's wife, Ellen, was his first cousin (a daughter of of his uncle Michael). Cormac and Ellen lived in Aughalustia and according to family notes, they had four sons and one daughter. There is a 1901 census return for a "Cormack" Gordon in Aughalustia with a wife, Ellen, FIVE sons and a daughter listed. It is probable that this return relates to our Cormac Gordon and his first cousin Ellen and their family. It is from this census return that we have the names and approximate years of birth of Cormac's and Ellen's children, and the approximate year of birth of Cormac.
