Individual Details

Benjamin Marshall

(Abt 1774 - )

In "The Rise and Progress of the Serpent from the Garden of Eden" by Mary (Marshall) Dyer, his sister, he is listed as the first child in the family.

In the "A Memorial of the town of Hampstead, New Hampshire" by George B. Reed, dated 1903, found at Google books, discussing Zeniah Harriman, wife of Caleb Marshall, the family moved to Northumberland and built a home. "The young wife of Marshall had her household goods hidden away, and with one child of two years of age and an infant in her arms less than a month old, mounted a horse and fled to Hampstead, a distance of more than one hundred and fifty miles, arriving in safety." The two year old had to be her son, Benjamin and the infant was Sarah. Sarah was born on 5 May 1776, therefore Benjamin was born about 1774.
