1841 his marriage to Polly Rice must have been after the death of his first wife who died on 6 June 1841.
1840 census for Lockport, Will Co., Ill, shows a David Brazee age 30-40 living with a woman age 30-40 with the following children: 1 male age 0-5, 1 male age 5-10, 1 male age 10-15, 1 female age 0-5, 2 females age 5-10, and 2 females age 10-15. 1840 census for Milford, Otsego Co., NY shows a David Brees age 40-50 and other family members.
1833 land records shows him as owner of part of lot #20 of the Charlotte River patent on the north side of the Charlotte River which had to be part of his inherence from his father, Jeremiah Bresee (film 557790 Deed Book M page 111).
1830 census for Davenport, Delaware Co., NY, shows a David Brisco 30-40 and his family. Near by is a Belmira Bresee, age 15-20, living with a female 40-50. This could well be sister Almira age 20 and her mother Melinda age 47.
1826 rootsweb.com shows marriage on 29 April 1826 at the Lutheran Church, Summit, Schoharie Co., NY. Both Pat Bresee and LDS records agree on David Bresee's marriage to Harriet Brooks on 29 Apl 1826.
1821 land records shows David Brezee grantee and Jeremiah Brezee grantor on part of lot #19 of the Charlotte River patent with Malenda Brazee, wife, recorded 18 Dec. 1823 in Deed Book page 69 film 557787. Jeremiah Bresee also owned lot #20.
1800 birth month and year for David is from Merna Bresee in a GEDCOM file "davidb.ftw". Birth date of a sister, Nancy, of 12 June 1800 questions which date is correct. (Nancy has been removed as a possible daughter of Jeremiah and Melinda due to conflicts of dates and lack of supporting documentation.)
