In Days Gone By - 40 Years Ago -- Funeral services were conducted for Martin B. Lokkesmoe Thursday, Dec. 17 at the house at 1 o'clock and at Singsaas Church at two o'clock with Rev. P. L. Mork in charge. Rev. A. L. Stueland of Toronto, a neighbor pastor of Rev. Lokkesmoe at Ray, N.D., delivered the funeral sermon. Rev. Lokkesmoe was laid to rest at the Singsaas Cemetery.....................

FORMER RAY LUTHERAN PASTOR DIES
Word has been received of the passing of Rev. M. B. Lokkesmoe at Hendricks, Minn. on Dec. 12th.
He had served the Ray pastorate for three years and in 1921 he was called to Benton where he served two years. At that time he was compelled to retire from the ministry due to poor health.
Rev. Lokkesmoe was born July 5, 1884.
Survivors are his wife, five sons, Benjamin, James, Luther, Peter and Knute and one daughter, Priscilla.
Ray friends extend to the bereaved family sincere sympathies.
