Mildred Pearl BRENIMAN

Mildred held a Bachelor of Arts degree from Parsons College, Fairfield, Iowa, and had taken graduate work in Library Science at both University of Nebraska and Nebraska Wesleyan University at Lincoln, Nebraska. She had taught high school English and Drama prior to her marriage.
Always active in her church, she started the Church Library for the St. Paul United Methodist Church in downtown Lincoln as a volunteer. She developed it into one of the most promineant in the state and was placed on the paid staff. She was associated with the library for 18 years.
May 20, 1979, the St. Paul Methodist Church was renamed as a memorial to Mildred. It was dedicated as the Mildred Belknap Memorial Library.
