Notes
Marriage
BRENIMAN-JORDANCupid's latest conquest occurred Wednesday morning at 5:30 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. O. T. Jordan. Very quiet and beautiful portrays most accurately the wedding nuptials of Mrs. Walter Breniman and Miss Josephine Jordan.
The bride is the elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O. T. Jordan, well known and much liked citizens of Riverton. Mrs. Breniman has been a teacher in the Riverton public school for the past four years and has won distinction for her excellent qualifications among its most effieient faculty.
Mr. Breniman holds the position of assistant Cashier of the Riverton State Bank. His business qualifications and pleasing personality has won for him the respect of our city.
Many rumors were circulated during the past week to the effect of a secret marriage. The inquiring mind of the public suspected many dates, all of which accurate evidence could not be had. Suspicion ran high when Rev. G. O. Hopkins of Hudson appeared in Riverton late Tuesday evening. However, much precaution was taken to keep the desired inforrmation a surprise. About four o'clock Wednesday morning several alarm clocks and telephone calls raised sleepy eyes and anxious hearts to prepare for the wedding feast.
At 5:30 o'clock the solemn promise were answered and the wedding bell rang. The untieable knot was tied, the ring ceremony being used. Only two guests outside of the immediate members of the family were present, Miss Mary Connaghan, teacher in the Riverton school and L. J. Kirch, secretary to Mr. Delfelder.
A sumptuous wedding breakfast was served by the bride's mother after which the happy couple were motored to the depot and took the east bound train for Omaha. After a few days visit there the bride and groom will visit in Chicago and other Eastern points. Several weeks have been alloted for the bridal tour. The trip will be concluded by way of Denver and of a few days spent in visiting the groom's sister of that city.
The many friends of the newlyweds have expressed their delight in wishing extended happiness to this popular young couple.
