"Thomas R. Greer died at the home of his daughter, Minnie Miles. He served in the Civil War from the fall of 1862 until April of 1865 in the 29th CSA Infantry, Company D. After the war he was a farmer. Ola Greer remembers him as being a small man with a white beard who had a beautiful voice and loved going to places to sing. He was buried at Coleman Cemetery, Little Mulberry Church, Hancock County, Tennessee."
