"Fayette County, Georgia. To any Minister of the Gospel, Judge, Justice of the Superior Court or Justice of the Peace. You are hereby authorized to join Wm. Hanson and Miss Martha Dunn in the Holy State of Matrimony according to the constitution and laws of this state and in so doing this shall be your sufficient license given under my hand and seal this 11th day of December 1827. 1830 Fayette County, Georgia, page 202: William HANSON: 1 male - under 5 years, 1 male - 20 to 30 years, 1 female - 20 to 30 years. (NOTE FROM RALPH TERRY: Next door was a Thomas Hanson, 30 to 40 years old and on page 204 is a Jesse Hanson, 60 to 70 years old. I feel these are the brother and father of our William Hanson and have placed them in this genealogy on this basis. This could be incorrect.)
