Individual Details

Elizabeth Hanson

(August, 1843 - February 8, 1927)

"I visited with a Mrs. Burnett, who had a small general store at Antioch, Oklahoma. She was 83 years old and remembered William D. and Elizabeth Howell. She said Elizabeth had a growth on her neck. She remembered the last four of the Howell children and that Charley had gone to prison for horse stealing. Mrs. Burnett's son went with me to the cemetery. There was a marker at that time for William D., but not for Elizabeth ... some of her descendants put one up several years later." (Ralph Terry, 1980.)

J. W. Odell (her son-in-law) was the informant on Elizabeth (Hanson) Howell's death certificate.

In 1920, Elizabeth is shown on the Imperial County, California census, living with her daughter's family, James and Dora Hanson.
