Reuben Pickett, born 1745; he was a zealous and influential minister of the early Baptist Church; went over into Bedford County, and later to one of the Carolinas; married first in 1773, Elizabeth Day, of Bedford County, Virginia and had issue. He married second in 1779, Elizabeth Matthew and had issue."
