HARDESTY
Graveside services for Thomas D. Hardesty, 83, will be held Monday at 4 p.m. in Carlsbad Cemetery with elder Gerald E. Hand of Primitive Baptist Church of Artesia officiating. He died Friday.
Born in Junction, texas, he moved to Colorado when he was two years old. He later moved to Lincoln, N.M. and then settled in Dayton, N.M. When he was 16, he moved to a ranch near Lakewood.
Survivors include his wife, Flora, Carlsbad; two sons, L.T. Hardesty, Carlsbad, and E.D. Hardesty, Silver City; a daughter, Joyce Buse, Eugene, Ore.; a sister, Rosie Spencer, Carlsbad; and 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.
