MRS. MARTHA HARDESTY DIES EARLY TODAY
Mrs. Martha E. Hardesty, 75, a resident in this area for 40 years, who suffered a stroke last Friday, died early today at her home at Church and Fifth Streets. Mrs. Hardesty's husband died in 1940.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. W.W. Basananwsky of Susanville, Calif., and Mrs. G.R. Spencer, Mrs. W.V. Sims, and Mrs. Sam Collins all of Carlsbad and three sons, W.D. Hardesty, Aztec, T.D. Hardesty, Dayton, and R.F. Hardesty, Carlsbad.
Funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the West Funeral Chapel with Rev. M.E. Waldrom of the Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be made in Carlsbad Cemetery.
