Deceased Name: Andrew Stavracos
DELTONA Andrew Peter Stavracos, 88, of Bloomfield Avenue, a retired waiter, died Thursday at Mariner Health Care, Orange City.
Mr. Stavracos, an Army veteran of World War II, was born in Crete, Greece, and came here in 1969 from Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a member of the Deltona Community Church of God and the Hotel and Food Service Union of New York. He played semi- professional baseball for the New York Yankees farm team.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Winifred; three daughters, Pauline Mannino, DeLand, Andrea Lacy-Pugliese and Mary Dias, both of Deltona; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Volusia/ Flagler, 2777 Enterprise Road, Orange City 32763. Deltona Memorial, Orange City, is in charge.
