He traveled several times back and forth to Greece.My grandmother kept getting pregnant when he would return. She got tired of histravels and he brought her and 3 children to the U.S. He opened one of thefirst great restaurants in New York City, the Plaza Restaurant. He lost everything due to prohibition. He wouldn’t bootleg, so he emptied his liquordown the drain. He was never the same after that.
