Deceased Name: NICKIE STAVRACOS
Nickie Stavracos, 87, of Long Island, a former resident of Daytona Beach, died June 28 at a Long Island care center.
Mrs. Stavracos was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and came to Long Island 1 1/2 years ago from Daytona Beach, where she had lived for 35 years. Before her retirement, she was the owner and operator of Snapper Beachware, Daytona Beach, for 30 years. She was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, Daytona Beach, the Philoptochos Society of St. Demetrios and the Order of Eastern Star. She was also a gift shop volunteer for the Halifax Hospital Auxiliary, Daytona Beach.
Survivors include three sons, Peter and Deno, both of Long Island, and Jim, Orlando; a daughter, Antonia Rousis, Boston; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 129 N. Halifax Ave., Daytona Beach 32118. Bellevue-Cedar Hill, Daytona Beach, was in charge locally.
