I graduated high school in New York and went to Florida and graduated from the University of Tampa, where I met my wife, Maria. I taught school in Tampa for 2 years and attended Stetson Law School.

Jim now works in customer service for Home Shopping Network.He works from home on his computer, answering calls. For 30 years, he ownedrestaurants. He owned one next to his father’s – his father had a heart attackat age 68 and he took over his father’s restaurant in Florida. Jim owned theRed Snapper in Daytona Beach. He had to give it up because (don’t remember).Then he went into real estate and did very well until the housing bust in themid 2000. He loves restaurant work. He has all the recipes that were hisfather’s, his, and others in his family. His dream is to use the history of the Stavracos family along with photos and family recipes to start a prototype of arestaurant that can turn into a national chain (seafood recipes, American food not Greek food). He is working on this now.

Facebook post by son, Ted, October 10, 2019 - My father passed away unexpectedly yesterday, he did not suffer. The pain is more than the family can type out right now I will post more happy memories soon. Services will be held at Holy Trinity Clearwater-409 Old Coachman Rd, Clearwater, FL 33765, viewing 12-1, service 1-2, burial at Curlew Hills. this Saturday. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to St. Nicholas Irene and Raphael where Dad was asked to help fundraise. We love you Dad with all our hearts. (October 12).
