Obituary in Porterville Recorder February 27, 1901. " DEATH OF P. G. DUNCAN - Resident of Success Dies of Pneumonia - Funeral for Tomorrow- Was Member of Woodmen of the World ---
Pelham G. Duncan, of Success, died yesterday at his home at that place of pneumonia. Mr. Duncan had an attack of pneumonia last winter, and had had other attacks of the disease previous to even that. He was unmarried.
Mr. Duncan was a prominent member of the Woodmen of the World and members of that order in this city will drive to Success tomorrow to attend the funeral, which will be in charge of J. C. McCabe. The remains will be interred in the Crabtree cemetery. A special meeting of the Woodmen of the World has been called for tonight at 7:30 in order to make arrangements for the trip to Success, and another meeting will be held tomorrow at 9 o'clock.
Mr. Duncan was an old resident of this section. At the time of his death he was 37 years, and 11 months of age. He is survived by two brothers Claude and Ray Duncan, and one sister, Mrs. Ada Pratt."
