Dick Folkerth's info says Michael was born abt. 1763.
Michael & Anna came from Maryland to Preble Co. Ohio and settled on Big Twin in 1817. The Preble Co., Ohio Tax Lists of 1821/1825 shows Michael being taxed for 157 acres of land, of SW Range 21, Sec 5, Tp 3. In 1840 they are found east of Dayton, Ohio and settled on a farm. They became members of the Beaver Creek Church where he served as Deacon for many years. (Annals of Brethren Church Beaver Creek Church) and (History of the Church of the Brethren of the Southern District of Ohio by Garst/1921. Anna Hall Folkerth was a Quakeress by birth, but joined the Brethren Church before she was 21 years old. While the obituary of Anna indicates there were 5 children; other records indicate there were more. Listed in the obituary were: Mary, the eldest and John, the youngest; Ebenezer (at whose home she died); Christopher and Margaret. Anna's obituary appeared in the Eaton Register and Eaton Democrat Papers, Eaton, Preble Co. Ohio. She married John Jordan on 18 Nov 1846.
